Thomas Maren

Thomas Maren has served as Financial Controller at Gracie Point since 2020, leading all aspects of the firm’s accounting and finance operations. His responsibilities include financial and management reporting, payroll administration, accounts payable, and coordination with external tax and audit professionals. Mr. Maren works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to optimize Gracie Point’s capital structure, manage cash flow, and drive effective financial planning and analysis.
With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Maren brings deep financial services, accounting, finance, and operational expertise from both private and public companies. Prior to joining Gracie Point, he provided consulting services to American Express and BNP Paribas, focusing on financial and regulatory reporting. He previously served as Controller at Morgan Stanley Private Bank, where he managed reporting and budgeting during a period of rapid asset growth from $6 billion to over $60 billion. Mr. Maren also held senior roles as Controller and CFO at Champion Mortgage, where he led a major business integration. He began his career at Beneficial Finance Corporation, one of the largest consumer finance companies in the U.S., where he advanced from accountant to Director of New Business Development and Acquisitions.
Mr. Maren earned his CPA designation in 1992 and holds both a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and a master of business administration in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey.
