Richard F. Kadlick
General Counsel, Gracie Point Holdings, LLC
Richard Kadlick has served as General Counsel for Gracie Point since 2019. In this capacity, he oversees all aspects of the firm’s legal function including its regulatory and licensing compliance functions, corporate governance requirements, KYC functions, loan origination, servicing, and financing, mergers and acquisitions activities, and all legal aspects of the firm’s human resources and IT functions.
Mr. Kadlick has a long and distinguished career in structured finance and is a recognized expert in the field. Before joining Gracie Point, he was General Counsel of Noble Talents, LLC, a cryptocurrency startup. Previously, he practiced law at Skadden Arps, where he was named partner in 1990 and led the Structured Finance Group from 2006 to 2018. At Skadden Arps, Mr. Kadlick represented clients in asset- and mortgage-backed securities transactions and acted as counsel in a wide range of public and private offerings involving the structuring and issuance of all types of securities. His experience includes transactions backed by a wide variety of assets including credit card receivables, residential and commercial mortgages, auto loan receivables, federal agency securities, auto and equipment leases, and underperforming assets. He also developed the MACRO, an ETF-like exchange-traded financial product, and invented the Master Trust.
Mr. Kadlick graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Hamilton College and earned a J.D. from Georgetown University.
